Captain Maggot, or Maggie Lally, is one of the Bloody Crumpets and known to fans as the second pyrate captain to grace the Asylum Stage, following the departure of Vecona.
Bloody Crumpet
Captain Maggot jumped onboard the Asylum ship in 2008 and was one of the most well-known Crumpets. She was known as the stage drunk, who always made the "tea" for the girls to drink and spit out over the audience. The talents she showcased during the concerts were aerial acrobatics, stilt walking, and fire dancing. During "Opheliac" she aerial danced in a hulahoop suspended from venue ceilings, a form of acrobatics called lyra. Her stilt walking was featured during perfomances of "Unlaced," "Let the Record Show" and "Scavenger." Lastly, her fire dancing routine has appeared during "Dead is the New Alive" and "We Want Them Young."
Maggot was the second Pyrate Captain character, modeled after Jolie Rogue from Emilie Autumn's The Asylum for Wayward Victorian Girls book. Captain Vecona preceeded her as the Pyrate Captain of the Asylum.
Maggot's fan-following is known as "Captain Maggot's Pyrate Crew."
