Captain Maggot, or Maggy Lally, is the second Pyrate Captain to grace the Asylum Stage.
Bloody Crumpet
Captain Maggot jumped onboard the Asylum ship in 2008 and has been one of the show's features ever since. She's known as the stage drunk, who always makes the "tea" for the girls to drink and spit out over the audience. The talents she showcases during the concerts are aerial acrobatics, stilt walking, and fire dancing. During "306" she aerial danced in a hulahoop suspended from venue ceilings. Her stilt walking has been featured during perfomances of "Unlaced" and "Scavenger." Lastly, her fire dancing routine has appeared during "Dead is the New Alive" and "We Want Them Young."
Maggot is the second Pyrate Captain character, modeled after Jolie Rogue from Emilie Autumn's The Asylum for Wayward Victorian Girls book. Captain Vecona preceeded her as the Pyrate Captain of the Asylum.
Maggot's fan-following is known as "Captain Maggot's Pyrate Crew."
Personal Life and Career
Maggy Lally is the lead singer of the alternative band Insects v. Robots. She is also an active member of the performance group Lucient Dossier, with whom she travels and tours with when she is not touring with Emilie Autumn. She is based out of Los Angeles and is in a committed relationship.
