"Hell is Empty" is the 13th track on Emilie Autumn's Fight Like a Girl. The track is 1:11, making it the shortest song on the album. It is mostly instrumental, other than the words "Hell is empty, and all the devils are here" being spoken (rather than sung) at the beginning of the track. These lyrics are a quote from a Shakespeare play, The Tempest. The track is meant to illustrate the scene in the book The Asylum for Wayward Victorian Girls in which the doctors are murdered by the asylum inmates. It features string instruments as well as other sound effects, such as rats squeaking and glass breaking. The live performance featured the Bloody Crumpets throwing cookies, muffins, and tea at the audience.
