The sets, props, and costumes for this tour were made by both Emilie and Vecona. Many of the things that are now standard (if allowed by the venue) began on this tour incuding, [[the asylum screens|the Asylum Screens]] of which there were two during this tour, the electric piano being lavishly decorated and being called the harpsichord, and the second heart corset was first used during this tour.

The Plague Tour was Emilie's second European tour as well as the second full tour with Opheliac which also consisted of DJ Sets and the first readings from The Asylum for Wayward Victorian Girls.

The tour dates in Sheffield and London were filmed for a planned DVD with Trisol. Due to Emilie splitting with the label, the DVD was never created or released.
